About Me My name is Anneke (pronounce as Anneka or just call me Anne) and I was born in the Netherlands in 1969. I studied English and French at a state university and I am a professional translator. I love to sing, draw and write. This blog is a result of my uncontrollable urge to write. I was born and raised in a Christian family and was taught early on to make up my own mind about things, including faith. I learned that the Christian faith is all about relationships in stead of religion and I try to live my life based on my personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I probably don’t have the same views on a lot of things as the people I go to church with, and I definitely don’t have all the same views as a lot of more ‘traditional’ church goers. I don’t have a problem with that at all. My opinions are my own and not those of a certain group. Jesus is all about loving my neighbor without judgement and although we are practically forced by society to always judge and be judged, it is very liberating not to comply with that demand. This attitude determines my view of the world and what goes on in it. I hope that my thoughts about random subjects will somehow contribute a little to your view of the world.
